The Espinho/SCISS Planetarium would like to invite you to the Immersive Film Festival, that will be held in Espinho, Portugal from December 4 to 6, 2015.

This festival is an event that will gather international productions, both 2D and 3D, in the Immersive Cinema field. It is an open invitation to all, producers, animators, filmmakers, artists, students, teachers and planetarium professionals. It is intended to be a place to captivate active members of cinema in general into this new media, discuss ideas and create partnerships, but above all, to promote the development of this cinema field.

To attend is rather easy. Espinho is located close to the Oporto International Airport, served by the major international Airlines and by a large number of low cost carriers.

To participate, simply submit a work following the guidelines in the memorandum of understanding that can be downloaded from the IFF website.

The Immersive Film Festival competitive section will award the best in fulldome productions, on two categories: Short Pieces (from 1 up to 15 minutes), and complete Fulldome Shows. Within these two main categories five awards will be attributed by a selected jury, including Best of IFF’15, Best 3D, Best Immersion, Best Soundtrack and Public Choice (for Short Pieces category only).
