Hey, I'm just wondering if any producers out there can give me some help on putting together a workflow for a 4k Fulldome Project.
I did my last project at 1200x1200 30fps for a small 30ft dome and I would like to upgrade now to 4k 30fps. When I did the last project I did all the post production in Adobe Premiere CC 2014 but I ended up running into some errors. Mainly the problem was that the video playback in the sequence was quite sluggish even at 1/4 playback resolution. The other problem I ran into multiple times was an export error: "Error compiling movie. Unknown Error."
my computer specs:
OSX 10.11.1 (installed on 120gb SSD drive)
3.5gh intel i7
NVIDIA GTX 670 2048mb
32gb DDR3 Ram
3TB ST3000DM001 (internal drive for video/media)
Premiere Pro CC v9.1.0
Mostly I'll be working in image sequences like: jpg, bmp, and tiff.
I'm wondering is if the issue is in the hard drive. Maybe I need a faster RAID setup? What's your hardware setup and media format?
Thanks in advance for any help!
