Hi everyone!

Exciting times here at Digital Chaotics!

I've been busy in The Lab creating new visual music pieces, working out music licenses on several fronts, making new friends ( =:o ) at IPS and IMERSA, and adding features to my animation software, Harmony.

A few samples of my recent work:

There are many, many more samples on my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/VJChaotic).

Did you see a piece that would look great on your dome?  Let me know, and we'll work out a deal.  If you're a distributor, I have sync and master use licenses for many of my best pieces.  If I don't have the sync and master use licenses already, then I'm probably already working on it.  I'm also starting on a new project:  The Nutcracker Suite.  I'll have some awesome new pieces to show & sell coming in October.  Leanna, my business manager (and wife), is gearing up for busy times!

These days I'm gearing up to submit entries to the upcoming shows (State of the Arts in L.A. next week, Fulldome UK 2012 in the UK in mid-November, Imiloa Film Festival in Hawai'i in early Februrary).  That's not enough to keep me busy, so I'll be helping out at the IMERSA Summit in Denver in mid-February, and then going to my son's wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the end of February.  2013 is filling up fast!

And yes, I've been busy in The Lab doing the Mad Scientist thing again, adding cool new features to my software.  For the geeks among you, I've recently added billboards (to simplify doing credits), and I'm using GLSL shaders to draw all kinds of different surfaces.  I also have a number of interesting visual effects in the works.  They're not ready for prime time yet, but if you look closely you'll see some things sneaking in here and there.  Oh, and I wrote a MOV to Dome Master utility yesterday.  Geekness.

Well, back to The Lab for me!  Take care, and feel free to say hi anytime...

Regards,

Ken Scott

Would anyone be kind enough to share your technique(s) for converting HD video to fisheye (fulldome)?  I'm in the process of building a sky show and are planning on assembling the program within the next couple of days.  Any help is greatly appreciated!See More
