Phase 1 is finished: A Spitz nano seam dome with .32 reflectivity. New seats, carpet, LED lights and a 16,000 watt digital sound system - IMAX is only 12,000! Phase 0 was a new control system from Sky-Skan, and a new console.
Now for Phase 2 - FullDome.
We have initiated discussion with the major venders and are examining their responses.
I feel like pretty girl in a bar at 1:45 am...

BRIGHTNESS from the Sony SRX T420

I saw the Sony SRXT420 at Dome Day in the Cincinnati museum. With the "8 K" lens it is brighter than their IMAX projector. Two of these can cover the dome and be brighter than IMAX.

This is significant. Typical IMAX projectors also vary in the evenness of the light distribution by a factor of 2. The T420 was very even all the way around. I measured with a Minolta LS 100 light meter.
