DomeFest 2009 registration is live: https://www.acteva.com/go/domefest2009
Please know we can only guarantee seats for the special events and dome-based talks to the first 150 registrants. I made you wait, so now you need to get cracking.
A few highlights on the (finally) fast-developing program that we're thrilled about:
1. Join us for the world premiere of J Walt Adamcyzk's ("Spontaneous Fantasia") newest real-time world creation/digital animation performance: "The Omnicentric Universe." http://www.spontaneousfantasia.com/
2. Ryan Wyatt and colleagues at the California Academy of Sciences will present "the making of" and screen "Fragile Planet." http://www.calacademy.org/academy/exhibits/planetarium/
3. Larry Cuba will take us back to the early days of CG, then fast-forward to fulldome as he describes producing his 1979 film "Two Space" during those pioneer days, then reworked the art film as a 7-minute fulldome piece.
That's just a taste. See www.domefest.org for the general schedule which we'll be filling in as plans finalize.
You can also follow us on that Twitter-thing. Www.twitter.com/domefest (Since its standards are so low, even I plan to, um, twit.)
Thanks. (And thank you Eric Whitmore...),
