DomeFest 5YR Retrospective -- Opinions Desired

I posted this on Ryan's Yahoo Fulldome List and copy the invitation below: We'd relish all the input we can gather on creating a DomeFest five-year retrospective.

Dear Fulldomers,

We're working on a new program, "DomeFest: A Five-Year Retrospective"
and would greatly value your support.

DomeFest 2004-2008 has been a great run because of your contributions
and participation,so now we're looking for your opinions to produce a
best-of-the-best show--a 45-minute feast like each year's juried show.
The Retrospective will premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival in late
February, then travel to other festivals and play as part of DF09 here
in ABQ, 16-19 July. (Of course, we'll be doing a 2009 Juried Show as
well. So get to work!!!)

To gather your advice, we've created an online survey of 31 films for
consideration. These are all the Domie and Harmony Channel winners,
plus some that I added based on my experiences with audiences and
producers watching these gems. There are two versions (different
order to mitigate reviewer fatigue.)

We're asking the entire fulldome community to help rate the films so
please participate if you can and forward this invitation to your
collaborators. We're also gathering input from past jurors and
principal DF supporters whose opinions will be given special weight.

The survey will close with 2008's end (at the International Dateline
to be specific.) We'll crunch the numbers, formally invited selected
films, and make an announcement of Retrospective finalists in January.

The survey could take a while to complete if you want/need to watch
all the videos, but please know you can only rate films you know best
or have strongest opinions about. Not rating a film will not
negatively affect its score.

We really appreciate your support and thoughts you can give us here.
Of course, if you have questions, just holler.

And again, please feel free and encouraged to pass it forward to
anyone who might give voice to the retrospective.

For folks born in an odd numbered year, please use:
this survey

For folks born in an even numbered year, please use:

Biggest Thanks,

PS: Big thanks to Jonathan Strawn & the gDome Team for getting this

PS2: You can also find all the videos on the "DomeFest" channel at for your viewing pleasure.
