We are working on an interactive portable dome project showcasing various media content to students. We are coming across technical hurdles and were hoping some of you more experienced dome users can help us. We are new to this technology and apparently are entering 'uncharted' territory. Here is the issue:
5M Portable Discovery Dome with spherical mirror,
Macbook 17" pro
Adobe After FX
Pre-warper (Windows version0
We have been commissioned to create a interactive experience for the user. We have various bits of media (audio, video, fish eye jpegs) and we need to allow the user to navigate between these different mediums. Most of our content consists of various bits of standard video that hasn't been created through a fisheye lens. We were playing with the idea of using pre-warper to warp our video content and then using media show to allow the user to select different videos. Initially we were hoping to do this with dvd authoring and allow users to navigate through the different videos that way but there is no software available for this.
Our question is in dealing with video are there any other software packages or techniques out there that anyone can share with us i.e. any Adobe After fx plugins to turn the video content into fisheye perspective to then to be pre-warped and then played on media show?
We are new to this technology and software any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
