SAT support the introduction of a Dome Camera in Blender 2.5

The Society for Arts and Technology research group, SAT[Metalab] in Montreal has worked with the Blender open source community to support the introduction of a fisheye dome camera for virtual walktroughs and immersive 3d film. Hope to see a lot more open tools soon. Anyone knows about an open source multi projection blending system for domes?

Nice one Rene! This will do a lot to help open up experimentation in the field.

Kudos! Great to see "barriers to entry" dropping. We'll help get the word out...

I should say that we're making good use of this already. Particularly in combination with CLAM (clam-project.org) - Thanks René.
