STARGAZERS are set to enjoy the spectacle of a comet zooming through the skies this weekend.

The stunning Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková will appear gracefully green in the night skies.

This short period comet of 5.25 years will pass 0.08 AU (12,430,000 km; 7,720,000 mi) from Earth on February 11, 2017.

Its a rather faint object with the magnitude of +7 so a good set of binoculars or probably a telescope would be advisable for better Comet-gazing experience.

Discovered in December 3, 1948 and named after Minoru Honda, Antonín Mrkos, and Ľudmila Pajdušáková.

Its a treat to all the experienced observer and astrophotographer.
Soon It’ll retreat into the deeper space of our solar system. So don’t miss this au revoir !
